The UK Prime Minister to Push Supporting Countries on Long-Range Missiles for Ukrainian Forces at London Conference
Sir Keir Starmer is expected to urge partner nations to supply Ukrainian forces with further extended-range weaponry to strike Moscow's positions during a meeting in Britain on Friday.
Britain's leader will host Ukrainian President the Ukrainian head of state alongside referred to as "group of committed partners", including more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have committed to provide Ukraine protection commitments once a ceasefire is brokered.
Ukraine's president has been appealing for weeks for more long-range weapons from allied countries, an action that the Russian government has warned would worsen the conflict.
The Ukrainian president is journeying from the EU capital, where he held talks with European representatives on Thursday requesting funding aid.
"The sole individual participating in this conflict who declines to stop the fighting is Vladimir Putin," Sir Keir remarked.
The Prime Minister will also announce that one hundred extra air defence missiles will be delivered to Ukrainian forces ahead of schedule, as detailed in a £1.6bn deal concluded between the United Kingdom and Ukraine in last spring.
Diplomatic Momentum
Ukraine's leader comes following two diplomatic wins in recent days: the US President's move to enact further sanctions against Moscow, and the European Union agreeing to support a Ukrainian budget hole.
Sir Keir is aiming to sustain the forward movement by increasing the leverage on Moscow to discuss a resolution to the conflict.

Sir Keir will encourage delegates to ramp up the supply of advanced missile technology following a successful operation on a manufacturing site in Bryansk, Russia, using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles.

Two children were included in at least seven lost in a wave of enemy assaults on the country, which targeted a preschool facility in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.
Budgetary Negotiations
The Prime Minister will consult Western allies on approaches for remove Russia's petroleum resources from international trade.
They will also examine employing blocked Russian resources to provide the Ukrainian government with monetary support, although the initiative encountered insufficient agreement and regulatory obstacles at the EU conference on the previous day.
